When ordered without an added buckle, this collar must slide over your dog’s head. Measure both the neck and the widest part of the head, directly behind the ears, and choose a size that accommodates the larger measurement. The listed size range represents the collar’s fully extended opening; the martingale section does not add extra inches beyond that range.

The collar has been on my greyhound through plenty of wear and still looks essentially new. Stitching is clean and even, the hardware is solid, and there’s no fraying, stretching, or softening of the edges anywhere on it. The Fi housing sits flush, stays put, and shows no sign of working loose.
Greyhound necks are awkward – too narrow for most standard collars, too long to make sizing easy – and this one fits the way a properly proportioned sighthound collar should: wide enough to distribute pressure, snug enough that nothing rotates, with no gaping at the buckle.

This is such a great collar. I love that the Fi tracker sits on the outside of the collar, which I think is less noisy and more comfortable for my hound.
The workmanship on the collar is immaculate. It shipped in two weeks as stated on the website and shipping was very reasonable.

I had some very particular needs before finding this collar and it has been everything I was looking for. I needed a durable padded martingale for my Fi that would also remove any pressure or stress from the device hinges and this does just that. I had barrage of questions that I asked Christine in the chat feature and she replied nearly immediately. We decided a custom size would be best for my needs. I am completely satisfied, my dog is incredibly comfortable, and the device is secure and safe from taking wear from regular contact and pull. What I received was exactly what I expected. I want to start by saying that Christine goes above and beyond and all that she does starting out with her customer service in all regards. This is by far the best Martingale Collar on the market. I just received my fourth Elite Dog Gear fi Martingale collar and my first custom order for my fast growing 8 month old Cane Corso puppy.
Christine was quick to respond to my order and even sent me pictures of the hardware required to fulfill my order to be sure they were what I was requesting.
The collar is built strong and the craftsmanship is meticulous and proves that American Craftsmanship is still the best in the world.
Nicely made, nice color, nice padding. When ordering, I failed to notice there is no buckle on the collar - it requires one to slip over the dog's head. I remove collar at night for comfort. If your dog is head shy, this may not be the collar for you. I'm loosening the collar to max width when putting on/off to avoid head shyness. Also, the Fi piece sits on top of the collar so you'll have to disconnect from collar to charge the Fi which is inconvenient.
Collar arrived ahead of shipping estimate, very happy with the result, the red is vibrant and the martingale system works well, and my Fi tracker (not included) easily transfered to the new collar once i remembered the Gen 3 trackers magnetic locking tabs.
I waited much longer than promised, and they have no trackers on them. For the price, it should be more than just the band. That I can pick up at a local store near me.
